Client: City of Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communication (OEMC)
Project location: Chicago, Illinois
Project cost: $3.3 million
DMJM Harris provided systems and preliminary A/E design services for the development of a traffic management center (TMC) to monitor thousands of closed-circuit television cameras throughout the city. Subsequently, sister company DMJM H&N provided audio/visual, telecommunications, and security technology design, project management, and integrated systems support for the client’s new operations center.
During 2005, DMJM Harris prepared a Project Development Report in addressing the several system components to be integrated in the TMC. DMJM Harris is currently under contract to develop RFP packages for the system integration of the aforementioned components.
DMJM Harris will also provide appropriate technical, engineering and systems integration support to monitor the design, development and deployment of the project; support component and system testing; and provide additional support during the period of initial operations to assist in the roll out of the new systems, including monitoring of system documentation and training.
