California State University at San Bernardino

Client/Owner: California State University (CSU) at San Bernardino
Project location: San Bernardino, California
Construction cost: $8 million
DMJM Harris was selected by California State University (CSU) at San Bernardino to perform the development and design-build implementation of an energy conservation and infrastructure upgrade project. The $8 million project will deliver needed equipment and systems upgrades while allowing the campus to deliver on the state’s aggressive energy reduction goals.
The project calls for containing energy conservation measures, bringing the central plant up to capacity needed to support campus growth, and introducing renewable energy to the campus through a photovoltaic installation.
The project will be executed under design-build legislation as prescribed by the CSU System-wide Comprehensive Energy Services Program. This distinctive program enables the campus to partner with the selected firm in the development of the ultimate project scope of work, and its commissioning requirements will assure that the energy savings are delivered.
