LaGuardia Airport Subway Access Study

DMJM Harris, in joint venture, provided planning, conceptual engineering and design services to improve access to LaGuardia Airport through an extension of existing subway lines from both lower and midtown Manhattan. Key transportation elements of the study included the following:
- Planning and engineering analysis of subway alignment alternatives for providing a "single seat" ride from lower and midtown Manhattan to LaGuardia Airport terminals
- Evaluation of multimodal alternatives identified throughout the NEPA environmental scoping process
- Preparation of draft and final environmental impact statements
- Community relations
- Development of a scope of work for preliminary engineering
